The Doo Dah DisOrganizers & I would like to thank our Doo Dah Rock Stars!
These wonderfully talented bands donated their time and talents to the Doo Dah Parade Party in Goodale Park on July 4th.
The day started out with a blast from Sonic Skyways, a Midwest Pop & Alternative Rock band; followed by high jumping Brian Clash and the high energy New Coffee House Rebels performing Political Rock; then a delightful sound from GASS performing their cosmic stew; rocking the fest next was tOd & The Bad Ideas, performing both original songs mixed with a few cover tunes; how lucky for us that the Queen of Columbus Blues, Shaun Booker with the Dammit Band swayed the crowd with their soulful sounds; next filling in for a last-minute cancellation, we had a second set from tOd & the Bad Ideas as they came back and rocked the crowd out; For the 14th year in a row Metal-Hybrid music lofted through the park by McCallister, Angela performed her first violin solo, and Daniel mesmerized with his 6 sting bass as Jarret blew us away with his cello; Sadly, the torrential downpour washed out the set of Punk-a-licious MethMatics who I know would have had the crowd wanting to punk out.
I would like to point out that two of our eight bands had women drummers! All-in-all we had drums, guitars, bass, harmonica, saxophone, keys, cello, backup vocals and lead vocals delighting our ears.
