CowTV captures the “Libery & Lunacy” of the 25th Annual Doo Dah Parade.

Although it was wet, there was a GREAT turn-out of participants and spectators - all they had to do was show up!  Once again, hundreds of people lined the parade route with beverages and umbrellas in hand.  A few of the “regulars” made their way back again such as The Marching Fidel’s, Terror Park, The Doo Dah Virgin, the Rocky Horror Picture Show - AND - dare we leave out Batman!  New to the scene this year were the “couple”(?) of a crime-fighting Dynamic Duo (their presence really “queered it up”).  Ever-present political messages dotted the parade route - from gas prices to a John McCain satire.  Finally, of course, it just wouldn’t be the Doo Dah Parade without the presence of Ms. Doo Dah herself - looking ever-so ravishing - and starting the whole event off!  She was accompanied with the “Less Than Grand Marshall” former Columbus Mayor “Buck” Reinhart.  “Buck” was in great spirits (or maybe sipping “great spirits”) for the parade!  Eventually, the rain stopped - didn’t matter - the Doo Dah Parade went off as planned and the rain date of July 3rd was not needed.  A great time as always, the Doo Dah Parade is another example of what makes Columbus - and it’s residents - very special!
